Inspired by Queen, Yoshiki Fukuyama started his career as a musician in 1988. In 1994, he played the singing role and guitarist of “Macross 7” main role Basara Nekki and became known on an international level. He had won the Japan Gold Disk Award for “The Best Anime Album of the year.”

In 2000, Yoshiki Fukuyama started working as a solo artist and has been fully involved in music activities ranging from doing unplugged guitar live, conducting live concerts with a full-band, taking part in tours as a musician, and doing recording sessions to producing recordings.
In 2003, Fukuyama joined a group of leading Japanese anime theme song producers, called JAM Project (Japan Animation song Makers Project). The members include Hironobu Kageyama, Masaaki Endo, Hiroshi Kitadani and Masami Okui. The group has produced numerous opening and endings songs for anime series and games, and released singles and albums. Please see the JAM project website for details. |
As a member of JAM project, Yoshiki Fukuyama has performed in Taiwan, Sao Paolo, Baltimore, Korea, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Mexico, Paris and Barcelona in 2008.
This will be his very first appearance in South East Asia, and his very first acoustic concert in abroad will be showcased in the Anime Festival Asia 2009 “Anime Live” segment.
